  • Yusufu Abdul Silla is the Managing Director of SLCB, appointed in February 2022. Before his appointment, he spent his professional life in the financial industry, making considerable marks that elevated him to the top of his former institution as Managing Director of Commerce and Mortgage Bank Plc. (CMB), a bank he helped stabilise from the brink of collapse into a profitable entity. Mr. Silla holds a BSc (Hons) in Pure Economics from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and a M.Sc. in International Banking and Finance from London Metropolitan University, United Kingdom.

       
  • Festus is finance and banking professional with over 20 years of experience in banking risk management, auditing, finance research management, and leadership roles in Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom. He joined the bank in February 2014 as Head of Internal Audit—Operations and is currently the Deputy Managing Director. Festus, who is married with three children, studied for his MBA at Kent Business School. He holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Greenwich and a Professional Diploma in Financial Services Management from the Institute of Financial Services. He enjoys playing tennis and football and supports East End Lions FC and Liverpool FC.

            

  • Mrs. Olayinka Phillips is a seasoned business executive with over 27 years’ experience in audit and finance, both in the private and public sectors. She joined the bank in May 2014 as Director of Internal Audit. She was Deputy Coordinator of the Justice Sector Coordination Office and also worked as Technical Assistant/Deputy Director of Internal Audit in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development and Audit/Training Manager at KPMG Sierra Leone. She is a Fellow of the Chartered and Certified Accountants (FCCA) in the U.K. and Sierra Leone, holds an Association of Accounting Technician Certificate with distinction from the U.K., and has an MBA degree from Oxford Brookes University in the U.K. She has attended various leadership and managerial courses.

             
  • Moses joined the bank in November 2016 as Director of Business Development. Prior to joining SLCB, he worked with NP (SL) Ltd. as Commercial Sales Manager, Group Head Marketing at Access Bank (SL), Head of Corporate Banking at Ecobank (SL), and Relationship Manager at Guaranty Trust Bank (SL). He has over 16 years of experience in the banking industry, with extensive skills in credit risk and financial analysis in corporate, public, commercial, and retail banking; three years in the oil and gas sector; and fifteen (15) years in senior management positions. Moses has also served as a part-time lecturer in banking and finance at the IPAM University of Sierra Leone and a training consultant for the West African Bankers’ Association. Moses holds an EMBA (administration) degree from Delta International University, USA; a BSc (education) in Economics from the University of Sierra Leone; and an AAT Intermediate degree from the United Kingdom.

             
  • Mr. Biandoma has decades of experience, having served in various capacities in reputable institutions, including the Special Court of Sierra Leone and as a prosecutor at the Anti-Corruption Commission of Sierra Leone (ACC). He began working for the bank in August 2020 as Legal Counsel before his appointment as Corporate Secretary by the Board of Directors in March 2022 after a diligent demonstration of devotion to work. Mr. Biandoma is a practising barrister and solicitor of the High Court of Sierra Leone with over a decade of experience at the bar.

             
  • Mr. Shittu joined the bank in July 2013 as an executive assistant. He then moved into the role of financial controller in the same year. He has a sound knowledge of banking and finance, with expertise in credit analysis, accounting, and finance. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone.



Baimba has over 14 years of experience in the financial services sector of Sierra Leone and has demonstrated thought leadership in the fields of Treasury Management, Credit Analysis and Administration, Client Relationship Management, and Banking Operations. Prior to re-joining the Bank, Baimba held a range of leadership positions, including the role of Country Head of Corporate Commercial and Institutional Banking (CCIB) at Standard Chartered Bank Sierra Leone Limited and as Director of Treasury and Payment System at Union Trust Bank Limited. Previously, he served as treasurer of Sierra Leone Commercial Bank Limited. Baimba is a revered resource for his disciplined approach to business origination and client experience and has a penchant for hard work and capacity development. Baimba holds a Master of Philosophy degree (M.Phil.) in Economics from Legon University of Ghana with a bias in Corporate Finance and Investment under a Collaborative Masters Programme (CMAP) designed and delivered by the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). He also holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree (B.Soc.Sc.) with honours in Economics from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.
