In a remarkable display of community engagement and support for charitable causes Sierra Leone Commercial Bank Limited played a pivotal role in the Sierra Leone Marathon 2024 organized by Street Child at Makeni on Sunday May 5th.
The event which brought together enthusiastic local and international participants and supporters from all walks of life highlighted the bank's commitment to promoting health wellness and social responsibility.
Amidst cheers and camaraderie a team representing Sierra Leone Commercial Bank Limited (Foday Dumbuya Osman Bangura Suphian Bangura Martin Beckley Samuel Johnson and Shuaib Sahid Kamara) laced up their running shoes and joined the spirited throng of runners joggers cyclists and walkers who took to the streets of Makeni for a common cause.
The marathon renowned for its scenic route and vibrant atmosphere served as a platform for raising awareness and funds to support Street Child's vital initiatives aimed at empowering underprivileged children and communities across Sierra Leone.
As a responsible corporate citizen SLCB has once again shown that its values go beyond just profit-making and it is willing to use its resources to create a better future for all.
The Bank provided the Mi Yone Tellers at the event which made it possible for participants many of whom are in need of cash to access banking services on-site. This not only made the banking process more convenient for the participants but also helped promote financial inclusion in the country.
